What is TOONTASTIC?
Toontastic is an iPad app where students can bring their stories to life using engaging technology!
What is it good for?
- Teach or review plot of the story (TOONTASTIC scenes can be added or deleted)
- Create class or individual student stories
- Publish stories
Directions on how to create your own:
- Download the free app from the App Store called TOONTASTIC.
- Click "Create Cartoon".
- Click "New Cartoon".
- Click on each part of the "Story Arc". Choose the green paint brush to begin editing each scene.
- Choose your setting and toys/characters, each time pressing the right arrow to continue.
- Add animation and sound to your story by pressing the green start button to begin moving your characters and speaking, and the red stop button when you are finished. Press the right arrow to continue.
- Add music to each scene before going to the next. Press the right arrow to continue.
- When you are finished with all scenes, press done.
- Give your movie a title and director. Click in the "Export to Camera Roll" box. Click on the green check.
- Enjoy watching your movie. The movie will be saved on the iPad you created it on!
